The Benidorm Reunion was held from 1 - 8 November 2019, with 32 Association members & guests attending, some travelling from as far afield as the USA. We were accommodated in the Sandos Monaco hotel, which is an all-inclusive, adult-only establishment close to the Levante beach. This year's Reunion was a less formal affair than usual due to the lack of facilities available in the hotel, but this did not in any way detract from the occasion.
On Monday 4th we visited the Valor Chocolate Museum & Factory in Villajoyosa. The objective of the Valor Chocolate Museum, which was opened in 1998 and was named the Valencian Museum of Chocolate by the Generalitat Valenciana in 2008, is to raise people's awareness of how this rich food is produced. Visitors can learn about its chocolate heritage, its upkeep and research work. The museum is also home to one of the best collections of machinery used in the chocolate making industry.

The highlight of the week was the Gala Dinner which took place at the Benidorm Palace, a very popular venue in Benidorm. The Aqua Show after dinner was certainly of a very high standard.

On Thursday 7th we visited Guadalest, Despite its small size (236 inhabitants in 2013) Guadalest is a picturesque town that attracts around two million visitors every year, making it an ideal day-trip for people staying in Benidorm.

Many thanks to our roving photographers Lee Bryant, Alan Robson & Don Stuart.
